Do I need to download any software?

No, I-CAN! Legal is an Internet-based application so there is no software to download. To print your forms, you need to have Adobe Reader installed on your computer. Adobe Reader is a free program and you can download it and install it in a few minutes.

How much time will it take to go through I-CAN! Legal?

Using I-CAN! generally takes 30 minutes. If you have a more complicated case it may take more time.

Do I have to finish all the questions at one time?

No, you can begin preparing forms if you don’t have the time to finish, or you don’t have all the information you need, you can exit and return later and continue entering your information. The information is saved for you and you do not need to enter it again. Log in to your account again to continue preparing your forms.

What if I think my forms aren’t right?

I-CAN! Legal determines which forms are to be completed and fills out your court forms based on your answers. If you believe your forms are not correct, check your answers in the questionnaire to make sure you responded correctly. If you make a change on a screen, click “Next” to save your change. Continue through the questionnaire until you get to the PRINT page and review your forms again.

If you still believe your forms are not correct, do not file them. Contact I-CAN! Support by email and explain what you believe is incorrect and we will review your forms and correct anything we confirm to be incorrect. Although we provide software support, we cannot provide legal advice.

What if I forget my password?

If you have forgotten your username or password, look for the link on the Login page under “Forgot your password?”. If you enter your first name, last name and the email address you used when creating your account, I-CAN! will email you your password.

You can also contact I-CAN! Support by email to ask for your username and password to be emailed to you. You will need to provide your full name, your state, the type of forms you are completing, and about when you started. We usually respond to emails within 1 business day.
